Terms and Conditions for Mylighting.co.uk

The company provides access and use of mylighting.co.uk website in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below. By placing an order on the mylighting.co.uk website you shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. If you do not wish to accept these terms and conditions please do not use the mylighting.co.uk website. Your statutory rights are not affected by your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

Acceptance of Orders
Following receipt of your order, we will send you an order confirmation by e-mail. This e-mail is sent to you to enable you to verify the details of your order. Please check this document very carefully. If you discover any discrepancies in your order please notify us by e-mail within 24 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies that have not been notified to us.

Payments may be made by:

  1. Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta, Solo, Maestro and Visa Electron Credit/Debit Card.
  2. Cheque made payable to Mylighting; Your Order will be shipped once the payment is in cleared funds.
  3. Telephone Payment by Credit / Debit Card, on 01462 434464

All payments must be made in pounds sterling (GBP).
We reserve the right to refuse any Credit Card, Debit Card or Cheque payment.
Goods will not be dispatched before we have received full payment for the goods. Title to the goods will not pass until we have received full payment for the goods.

Prices
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. The correct VAT will be calculated at checkout.

Finishes and Dimensions
Finishes are given as a guide and indicate the appearance only and are not intended to define any material content and do not constitute a legally binding Contract. If you have any concerns about finishes please contact us before you place your order.
Dimensions are given as a guide only and do not constitute a legally binding Contract.

Delivery Schedule
We aim to dispatch the goods as early as possible once the Order has been received.
Non-stock products will be dispatched within 7-10 working days of receipt of your order.
Larger more expensive items and special order items may take longer.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Date of Delivery
Following receipt of payment for the goods, we will contact you by email to confirm the date your order is scheduled to be delivered.
The goods will be delivered to you on the day specified unless you advise us that this delivery date is not acceptable to you.

Receipt of Delivery
Upon Collection or Delivery a valid Signature shall be required. You will be asked to sign for the Goods “Received in Good Condition” – If you are unable to open and check the goods in the Consignment at that time and verify that they are “Received in Good Condition.” You must still sign for the Consignment, but alongside your Signature write the word “Unchecked. Failure to do so may affect any Claim thereafter. You must also check to see that you are receiving the correct Quantity of Parcels that you are signing for. You must detail any discrepancy with the Quantity of Parcels along with your Signature.

Once you have received your Order you must check for Shortages and Damages. Any Claims for Shortages and or Damages must be made within 48 hours of receipt of your Delivery by e-mail, to info@mylighting.co.uk. Retain the Packing of the Delivery in case you need to return any of the Goods.
In the unlikely event that you have not received all of your Goods within 5 Days of the Dispatch Date – You must notify us immediately by e-mail to info@mylighting.co.uk

No Quibble Guarantee
Mylighting guarantee your satisfaction.
All of our products are supplied with a no quibble guarantee.
Notification of any goods received faulty or incorrect must be made in writing either by email, fax or post to Mylighting within 7 days of receipt. Arrangements for the collection of faulty or incorrect goods will be made by Mylighting. An order may be cancelled up to 7 days from the day after date of receipt. Prior notification must be made in writing either by email, fax or post to Mylighting.
If you are unhappy with any of our products or service please contact us in writing by email, fax or post. All complaints will be acknowledged within 5 working days and treated with the utmost confidentiality. Unsuitable items can only be accepted back for a refund providing that they have not been used, installed and are in the original packaging. The cost of returning unsuitable goods is at the expense of the customer. Your refund will be made within 14 days of return of the goods. The above does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.


Warranty

All Goods supplied are warranted Free from Defects for a Period of 12 Months (unless stated Otherwise) from the Date of Dispatch, with the exception of Light Bulbs.
This Warranty does not apply to Goods damaged on Delivery - Goods damaged on Delivery are claimed for separately.
This Warranty does not apply to any Defect in the Goods arising from: incorrect installation, accident, abuse or modification or repair made without the consent of Mylighting or the Goods being subject to negligent use, or any use otherwise than as recommended by Mylighting.
All Lighting Goods supplied should be installed by a Qualified NIC EIC Electrical Contractor conforming to the latest relevant Wiring Regulations. You should retain the Invoice for the installation. In the event of some types of Warranty Claims we may require submission of this Invoice. Light Bulbs utilized should be of the correct Type and in Accordance with the Maximum Permitted Wattage.
If the Goods supplied to you develop a defect whilst under the Terms of this Warranty. You should notify Mylighting;by e-mailas soon as possible and within 7 Days of the Date you discovered or should have discovered the defect.

Privacy Policy
Mylighting only collects the information from you that we require for the purpose of processing your order. This includes delivery address and Credit Card Details where applicable. We do not share any information with any other Individual or Business. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
